ASUS planning to launch NVIDIA Ion based netbooks, nettops?
No official word here, but according to reliable sources ASUS is currently testing NVIDIA ION based netbook and nettops. If ASUS indeed plans to launch NVIDIA Ion based products then it would be the third manufacturer after Acer and Lenovo to switch to NVIDIA’s latest platform. In fact, in order to increase competition it would be actually good for industry to break free from Intel’s dominance of netbook segment, which will ultimately benefit consumers. If thing goes will with testing then ASUS will unveil an Ion-based Eee Box B1006 in the third quarter of 2009.
