Apple's new iMac unveiled

The latest iMac line up is a treat for Apple fans who makes fetish of cool yet sophisticated Apple products. With the new desktops featuring gorgeous 20- and 24-inch widescreen displays encased in elegant and professional aluminum and glass enclosures the firm has placed itself in good position for the back-to-school and holiday shopping seasons. Steve Jobs described it as "the most incredible desktop computer they’ve ever made." It includes the all new sexy ultra-thin aluminum keyboard (only 0.33 inches thin at its front edge) with hot keys. It comes in wired (USB 2.0) and wireless (Bluetooth 2.0) versions. The 20-inch display features 1680x1050 resolution, 290 cd/m2 brightness, 800:1 contrast ratio, and 160/160 degrees viewing angle, while the 24-incher includes 1920x1200 resolution, 380 nits brightness, 700:1 contrast, and 178/178 degrees viewing angle. The iMac sports 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo / 2.8GHz Core 2 Extreme processor, up to 4GB DDR2 RAM, ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB of GDDR3 memory or ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT with 128MB of GDDR3 memory, max 1TB storage, 8x SuperDrive, 802.11n wireless, Bluetooth, iSight camera, remote, and wireless mouse. It comes pre-loaded with iLife ’08 that lets you create websites, photo books, movies etc, and Mac OS X 10.4.10 Tiger. The 20" and 24" systems starts at $1200 and $1500 respectively; or if you just want to purchase the new keyboard then you have to shell out $30 (wired) or $80 (wireless).
