Acer recalls Predator desktops due to overheating problem

Acer has called back Predator desktop PCs which were sold between May and December 2008. This is due to the case of overheating reported by two owners. The firm issued recall order after two cases of overheating were reported. The two owners of Acer Predator gaming desktops reported recently that the desktops got so hot the external casing melted. The firm says the problem is caused by the insulation on the PCs’ internal wiring, which can “become bent or stripped,” leading the wires to overheat. So if you happen to buy the Predator desktop between mentioned dates, you’re advices to send back your machine before it become too hot for you to handle!
